Starvation Killed Three People in Ombada Locality Omdurman, Khartoum State
The toll of the humanitarian disaster has reached its pick in the Sudanese capital
Khartoum, according to the reports from our networks of activists working with
Emergency and Services committees in Ombada locality, Omdurman State of Khartoum
, which consisted of 30 emergency rooms and used to operate around 30 kitchens
providing meals for people in desperate need in the areas they also used to provide
some health services such as first aid, 25 of these kitchens have stopped working due to
lack of resources to cover their running costs, denying thousands of families from the
only meal used to be available for them as the majority of people in these areas used to
work as casual workers and with the state of paralysis facing the Sudanese economy
they are now jobless since the start of the ongoing war. As the crisis has reached a
catastrophic stage the impact has been felt across the areas.
