Values
Justice Africa Sudan is determined to maintain faith in the basic principles of humanity, peace, human rights, mutual dialogue and tolerance,
Justice Africa’s approach is:
Comprehensive: We believe that it is impossible to promote one aspect of peace, human rights and social justice in the absence of concern with other aspects.
Pro-Active: We believe in long term strategies which prevent problems from occurring in the first place, as well as working with groups long after, to ensure strong foundations for peaceful and democratic communities.
Locally Owned: We build on what has worked in the past, so that we are establishing or re-establishing institutions and structures that local people are comfortable with. We build our programmes using mainly local staff and consulting with all relevant stakeholders at each stage. There is no ‘formula’ or blueprint for this. Our staffs are experienced and respected.
Impartial: Although we often have links with parties to conflicts or issues, facilitating our capacity to work with all stakeholders in seeking solutions in the long term, we remain impartial and have only one objective: to sustain peace in Sudan and South Sudan
